Reed Diffuser FAQ's

A Reed Diffuser is a simple and elegant way to add fragrance to your home or office. Here are some frequently asked questions about Reed Diffusers:

WHAT IS A REED DIFFUSER?

A Reed Diffuser is a decorative bottle filled with scented oil and reed sticks. The reeds absorb the oil and releases the fragrance into the air.

HOW DO I USE A REED DIFFUSER?

Slowly twist the cap in an upwards motion to remove it and insert the reeds into the bottle to start diffusing the scent. Do not light the reeds.

On the first use, insert the reeds and allow it to soak and absorb the oil for 30-mins. Then flip the reeds over and allow it to release the fragrance into the air. We recommend flipping the reeds every 3-4 days to refresh the scent.

HOW LONG DOES THE REED DIFFUSER LAST?

The length of time a Reed Diffuser lasts depends on several factors, including the size of the bottle, the number of reeds used, and the quality of the oil. On average, our small 100ml reed diffuser will last around 1-2 months whilst the large  220ml reed diffuser will last for about 3-4 months.

ARE REED DIFFUSERS SAFE?

Reed Diffusers are generally safe to use, but there are a few precautions you should take. Keep them out of reach of children and pets, and make sure they are not placed near heat sources or open flames. Also, be aware that some oils may cause allergic reactions in some people, so use with caution.

WHERE DO I PUT MY REED DIFFUSERS?

We recommend placing your reed diffusers in areas with constant foot traffic so that movement can help move the scent around the room. However, do not place your diffuser directly under the fan or aircon or near a window as we need the scent to be gently disperse and also be able to linger on.

WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE THERES NO MORE SCENT ANYMORE?

There are a couple things that you can do.

(1) You can flip the reeds to refresh the scent. It is recommended you do this every 3-4 days for best scenting results.

(2) You can add more reeds for a more intense fragrance. However, do note that the more reeds you use, it also means faster evaporation.

(3) It is time to change to a new set of reeds. The internal channels inside the reeds can become clogged with dust over time. This prevents the fragrance from being absorbed by the reeds and for the scent to be diffused. We recommend changing the reeds every month. You may purchase extra reeds from us when required.
